Greetings Kasia,

Thank you for your interest.

Good basic info about the Didache ms., including the Coptic from Oxyrhynchus and the Greek so-called 'Jerusalem' ms, can be found at Wikipedia.

The Matthew ms can be placed together with the Didache because the two texts reflect relatively similar teachings and vocabulary. The scholarship which I accept would argue further that the Hebrew text of Matthew (Shem Tov) may be contemporary with or perhaps even precede the Didache; the Gr. Matthew perhaps relies on the Didache. All come from the same apostolic authors, I believe. Hence, the compound 'Didache-Gospel.'

This D-Gospel has a distinctive context that seems opposed by rather serious contrary reworkings of Paul, Luke and perhaps Mark. At least to my lights.

Peace!

Can you tell me anything about the Coptic ms. image you posted, such as date, place, significance? The same for the Matthew ms, and why you grouped them together? Thanks!
